Age: ~3.5 years
Affiliation: Loner (previously Fidelis)
Personality: As a Fidelis tribe member, Strait was very upbeat, friendly (too much), outgoing, and playful. He was an optimistic, kitten-like tribe member who could always be counted on to bring a little bit of brightness to the deep, dark hole the Fidelis called their home. But the disbanding of the tribe made him nervous, cautious, and paranoid. As a loner, he is very careful and suspicious of every stranger, and has a strong dislike for the Caedis. His old, fun personality is still under his fur somewhere, but it takes some effort and trust to dig it out.
History: Strait is a member of the Green family of domestic cats. He can't claim to be a purebred chartreux, but he honestly doesn't care. He had two siblings and a mother, but no father to his memory, as the male had run off somewhere before his eyes and ears had opened. As a kitten in a big, scary and cruel world, he was taught to hunt and gather from a very young age. In addition, it was difficult (if not impossible) for his family to find a decent place to settle down, as they moved around a lot, so he taught himself his breed-characteristic nimbleness and reflexes from a young age. When he was an adolescent, the rest of his family disappeared, supposedly lost to the plague or the Caedis (of which he had learned to be extremely wary), so Strait was forced to fend for himself until he wound his way into the Fidelis Tribe. He spent a good long while in the relative safe-haven of the tribe until that too disintegrated, and now he again lives on his own. He can most easily be found in the big ravine surrounded by stunted trees. He picks this location as something like a home-base because it has hiding places and relatively easy access to water. And the big green car looks kind of cool too. |
